Apple Hits Back At Satya Nadella With Their Latest Ad – ‘What’s a Computer?’

 

When Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, was visiting India a couple of weeks back he spotted two reporters using iPads during a press event and randomly told them “You need to get a real computer, my friend”.

Now, this maybe was a nothing comment but it caught everyone’s attention. It started getting discussed on tech forums, and got quoted on the biggest tech blogs of the world. Two weeks later we have a response from Apple.

In the ad, a preteen artist, writer and bug enthusiast is living life with her iPad Pro by her side. The ad has a very 80s feeling about it somehow. She is snapping photos of insects, reading comics on the bus, FaceTiming with friends and then comes the catch. Check it out below :

“What are you doing on your computer”, her mother asks. “What’s a computer”, she replies.

Now this may or may not be a comeback to Nadella’s remark. But this has sure gotten everyone talking again.
